Short films with Andrew reading his own work — poems set against the woods and water that made them.
Alongside the books, Andrew makes found and erasure poetry — language lifted from old magazines and field guides, cut and recomposed by hand across the images that carried it. A selection of recent pieces.
Andrew Mack is a poet and the founder and managing editor of Loblolly Press, an independent Southern literary publisher in Asheville, North Carolina. He is the author of three poetry collections — Weekend Revival, What the River Was, and Beasts of Chase — work grounded in the rivers, ridgelines, and small towns of the American South and Appalachia.
A graduate of Winthrop University, where he studied literature and language and received the Undergraduate Writing Award, he co-facilitates the Dark City Poets Society in Black Mountain, North Carolina — hosting a monthly open mic night and a monthly critique meeting for the writers who gather there.

Alongside his own writing, Andrew takes on select editing and design work through Loblolly Press — the same hands behind the imprint's catalog. A small number of projects a year, given real attention.

Tiered discounts of 15–25% for Appalachian and Southern small presses, small nonprofits, and mutual-aid projects. If the work is in service of the region and the writing, let's talk — the rate should never be the reason a good book doesn't get made.
Limited — 2–3 projects a year. Everything is priced by quote once we've talked through the manuscript.
Design and editorial projects are offered independently and are separate from Loblolly Press. Commissioning this work is not a submission to the press and in no way implies an offer of publication.
Andrew reads every inquiry personally and will be in touch. For anything urgent, email andrew.mack@loblollypress.com.
A few sentences about the manuscript and where it's headed is plenty to start.
